17th June
I had a peaceful night at anchor and was under way by 0600, there was wind from the South and we had full sail initially. By 1000 we had run out of wind and put the engine on. The wind was light until about 1630 by which time it filled in from the East and we had the last couple of hours with the wind on the nose but engine off and making nice speed and angles going to anchor at about 1830 in the Bay SE of Fraserburgh.
I had a nice chat with Katharine as this is likely the last time I’ll have a signal until I’m close to the coast of Denmark. My plan is to set off in the morning (Wednesday) and push across which should see me arrive just after some gusty winds have cleared to the North East of Thyboron. Katharine has an air bnb booked for Saturday evening, just in case which I may well share and have a nice shower etc should things go to plan.
This is short as I’m trying to get it off before losing the phone signal.
